I’ve stayed at the Hi-Park Serris three times this year; once in an executive studio, and twice in standard studios. As far as I am aware, the only differences are that a standard studio has a sofa-bed, and the executive has a double bed, and standard studios are between 18-31m2 and the executive studios are between 20-31m2.
Whenever I’ve been, I’ve always used the number 50 Peps bus, which ran regular free shuttle trips to and from the parks. However, that route has now been removed and so I am not at present sure how you would get to the parks other than walking. It is around a 20-minute walk; I’d do it in the day but I’m not sure how comfortable I’d feel walking back after Illuminations for example, and so until more information about the changes in shuttle are known, getting to and from is a little up in the air.
It’s about 5 minutes’ walk, if that, from Val d’Europe and the Auchan there, so it’s in a great location if you want to get some food if you want to do a cheaper trip and cook for yourself, or if you need snacks or anything like that. The shops at Val d’Europe are brilliant, it’s nice to have a little break and maybe take an afternoon off and visit the Sea Life Centre there, or get dinner in one of the restaurants if eating in the parks or Disney Village isn’t what you fancy.
I think the Hi-Park Serris is stunning, and for the price, I cannot imagine staying elsewhere if I want to be offsite. The studios have two electric hob rings, a small fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and a fair amount of cupboard space. The bathroom has a shampoo/shower gel dispenser on the wall, so not entirely necessary to take your own if you need to save on space. Breakfast is available for a fee; however, I’ve never experienced it so can’t really comment. Free wi-fi is available, and is pretty quick – I’ve managed to watch videos, use FaceTime and the usual browsing on apps without an issue.
For those visiting in the warmer months, there is a pool outside which looks lovely. The hotel is arranged in a square with gardens and the pool in the centre. Consequently, it is quite private and I can imagine lovely in the sunshine.
