Located on the ground floor of the Disneyland Hotel, the Celestia Spa is an absolute haven of tranquility away from the hustle bustle of the parks. On our latest visit, my young daughter and I decided to enjoy some proper pampering on her birthday and booked in for a few treatments. The spa is apparently growing in popularity so booking at least a couple of days in advance is recommended. The spa is open to both non-residents and residents of the hotel. We were staying in the DLH so made our way downstairs in robes and slippers. Mini Me was looking forward to having pretty nails and I was keen to chill after half a dozen highly competitive rides on Buzz.
We were booked in for the Child and Parent Session, which was essentially massges for each of us in a double cabin, and the Princess Duo – facials and nails for us both. The massages lasted about 25 minutes and it’s fair to say we were both utterly blissed out afterwards. Facials and nails took another 50 minutes or so and our therapists waited very patiently whilst Mini Me ooh’d and ahh’d over the array of nail colours on offer.
We had a brilliant afternoon. Our therapists ensured we felt relaxed and comfortable and it was lovely experience to share with my little one. I left feeling very relaxed and Mini Me left clutching a bag of complimentary goodies. If you fancy doing something different away from the parks then I can’t recommend the Celestia Spa enough.
